Use of pectolytic enzymes in the pulping of peach and plum pits
Keywords:
pectines, pulpingAbstract
With the aim of increasing the efficiency of pulp removal in the seedling production process, the use of pectolytic enzymes for the degradation of remaining pulp along with peach and plum pits was tested at the Videira Experimental Station. Pectolytic enzymes are efficient in the pulp removal of peach pits, providing a quick and complete cleaning. The enzymes do not alter the germination power of the seeds. The indicated dosage of 160ml/100kg of pits with pulp is valid for the pectolytic enzyme brands tested.
