High-density yerba mate
Keywords:
Ilex, agricultural managementAbstract
This work aims to evaluate the production of leaf biomass of yerba mate planted at high density (2.5 x 1.5 m), as well as its economic viability. The system proved to be extremely productive, without harming the environment, since the only insecticide used was phosphine, a gas that acts only on the galleries of the borers, without residues in nature or in the usable parts of the plant.
