The presence of mycotoxins in food constitutes a risk to public health and can lead to significant economic losses in animal production. Human health and animal production have been greatly harmed by the ingestion of food contaminated with mycotoxins. Therefore, it is necessary to pay greater attention to the harmful effects caused by mycotoxins, seeking better knowledge about their effects, establishing maximum levels of mycotoxins in food, and identifying efficient and affordable food decontamination methods.
