Murundu
um novo conceito de prática conservacionista
Keywords:
erosion, soil manegementAbstract
Microbasins are currently considered the ideal planning unit when it comes to planning and utilizing natural resources. However, effective results in erosion control in microbasins only occurred after the emergence of a conservation practice that, due to its characteristics outside the standards conventionalized by science, took time to be accepted by the technical-scientific body, although its results immediately won over farmers. The best results in erosion control are achieved through integrated practices, a term given to the sum of several conservation practices applied in an integrated way at a given time. Thus, the advance that the murundu represents is not in its characteristic as a conservation practice, but in its innovative proposal as an integrative one.
