Innovation increases competitiveness, enables adaptation and overcoming challenges, and seizes opportunities to
better position itself in the market. The aim of the Sebrae Rural Innovation Journey was to stimulate the adoption of innovative processes, encouraging autonomy and entrepreneurship in small rural businesses of Santa Catarina. This paper presents the results of innovation degree and impact of the implemented solutions. The methodology is based on diagnostic, generating
a radar chart for organization and implementation of improvement plans. The actions occurred in five central short-term dimensions and in four medium and long-term orbital dimensions. The cycle of activities took place in 8 months, between December 2021 and July 2022, with 9 local agents in 119 rural enterprises from all regions of Santa Catarina. The results improved all dimensions, mainly in management controls and in new products or services (business models).
