The persimmon tree (Diospyrus kaki) is a species native to Asia, where it has been cultivated for several centuries. In Japan, it is considered one of the most important fruits, with a planted area of around 29,600ha. Since this crop is still in its early stages of exploration in our state, this study seeks to provide some information and results on the pollination of the persimmon tree, given the complexity of the reproductive system of this species.
