Aseptic techniques for cleaning bulbs of some ornamental plants grown in vitro

Cultivation of tissue explants from bulbs, rhizomes and stolons often finds high rates of contamination by bacteria, fungi or other organisms. In order to establish an aseptic procedure for introducing into in vitro culture of hyacinth, tulip, iris and narcissus, with special emphasis on hyacinth, a series of tests were carried out.
