Abstract

The diseases caused by soil phytopathogens are difficult to control, because their causing agents, usually have more than one form of survival. Furthermore, the chemical methods have few registered products for most crops and few efficient available equipment for application which results in low control effectiveness. The biological control is an important tool against soilborne plant diseases especially when associated with physical methods. Commercial formulated biocontrol agents and biofetilizers are practical and viable methods to farmers for introducing biocontrol agents in the field.
