Enfoques de desenvolvimento rural, denominados sistêmicos, participativos e sustentáveis, não têm apresentado mudanças significativas em relação a estratégias anteriores. No presente artigo uma outra perspectiva é acrescentada ao diálogo sobre desenvolvimento: a abordagem Construtivista, que traz diferentes significados para metáforas como conhecimento, informação, comunicação, desenvolvimento,
participação e poder.
