The text analyzes the El Niño phenomenon, which predominates in SC this year 2023 and is expected to persist, at least, in the first months of 2024, as well as the extreme rains recorded in the State during last spring. The characteristics of the phenomenon, causes and impacts in Brazil and, in particular, in the South of the country are also analyzed.Metrics
