Characteristcs of fve sweet cassava cultvars produced in the West region of Santa catarina

The present work has the objective of evaluate the morphological characteristics, agronomic and hedonic performance of cassava cultivars. The work was conducted in the municipality of Maravilha/SC. Five cultivars of sweet cassava were analyzed agronomically: SCS261 Ajubá, SCS262 Sempre Pronto, SCS260 Uirapuru, SCS263 Guapo and Aipim Brasil. Parameters of the aerial part, roots and sensorial analysis by tasting test were evaluated. The highest yield root crop was SCS262 Sempre Pronto. The highest aerial part yield was obtained by the cultivar SCS262 Sempre Pronto. The most accepted cultivars were SCS263 Guapo, SCS262 Sempre Pronto and SCS261 Ajubá. Based on the observed characteristics and the results obtained, the cultivar SCS262 Sempre Pronto is indicated for the cultivation in the West of Santa Catarina.Metrics
