Abstract

Feijoa leaf diseases caused by microorganism can lead to the total defoliation of plants and it severely compromises fruit production. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of homeopathic preparations and genetic reaction to feijoa leaf diseases incidence. Treatments consisted of spraying the following homeopathic preparations:
Silicea terra 30CH, ground weevil Conotrachelus 30CH, macerate weevil Conotrachelus 30CH, Carbo vegetabilis 30CH, ground fruit fly 30CH, and distilled water, as control. Incidence of anthracnose, cercosporiosis, and sooty mould was also evaluated on different progenies of feijoa. No significant difference was observed among homeopathic treatments on feijoa concerning the incidence of anthracnose, sooty mould and Pseudocercospora sp. When progenies were compared, two clusters were clearly arranged, one of which having seven progenies with less incidence of the three leaf diseases.
