Efeitos do bioestimulante de Kappaphycus alvarezii em espécies de interesse agrícola: uma revisão sistemática (2020-2024)

O objetivo desta revisão foi analisar os efeitos do extrato de Kappaphycus alvarezii como biofertilizante de espécies de interesse agrícola, considerando artigos científicos publicados entre 2020 e 2024. A revisão sistemática seguiu os critérios Prisma e foi realizada na base de dados do Portal de Periódicos da Capes. Dos 480 artigos inicialmente identificados, 25 abordavam o uso de K. alvarezii com foco na área agronômica. Entre as culturas avaliadas, destacaram-se o milho, arroz e tomate, totalizando 72% dos estudos. Constatou-se uma variação importante nos resultados em relação às concentrações dos extratos testados, i.e., entre 0,1% a 10% (v/v), indicando que a eficácia do biofertilizante pode ser dose-dependente. Além disso, a forma de obtenção do extrato também pode desempenhar um papel importante. No entanto, de forma geral, os estudos demonstram que o extrato algal não apenas estimula o crescimento e a produtividade das plantas, mas também melhora sua resistência a estresses. Ademais, influencia positivamente os mecanismos moleculares, a sanidade vegetal e o microbioma do solo, contribuindo para sistemas de produção com menor impacto ambiental. Assim, o biofertilizante de K. alvarezii pode ser uma alternativa viável para a agricultura sustentável.
