Abstract

Epagri’s flooded rice breeding program has as the main objective the development of cultivars with high grain yield, good grain quality, high milling yield and adequate tolerance to abiotic stress. The most recent cultivar released by Epagri is SCS 116 Satoru. This new cultivar has superior agronomic performance to the control Epagri 108, therefore it is recommended for growing in Santa Catarina State, Brazil. It is also considered suitable for the milling processes of white rice and parboiling as well.
