Keywords:
CVC, Xylella fastidiosa, Citrus sinensisAbstract
Citrus variegated chlorosis (CVC), caused by Xylella fastidiosa is an important bacterial disease for
the Brazilian citriculture. It was determined the intensity of CVC in sweet orange orchards of ‘Rubi’ and ‘Valência’, cultivated in 32 areas in the West of Santa Catarina, by random sampling. It was verified that the CVC has been found prevalently in plants with more than four years of age. Higher disease rates were found in orchards located in Cunha Porã, Descanso, Maravilha, Saltinho and Sul Brasil. Others orchards presented plants with relatively low CVC severity.
