Abstract

Abstract: The interest in olive oil production has increased in recent years in Brazil, but it lacks information on the yield potential under the country’s condition. The objective of this article is to present observed data on 8-9 years production of ‘Arbequina’, ‘Arbosana’ and ‘Koroneiki’ olive cultivars in four sites of Santa Catarina State: Caçador, Campo Erê, Chapecó and São Lourenço do Oeste. In general, along the years, the trees showed good production of olives and respective oil yield. ‘Koroneiki’ surpassed the other cultivars´ yield, especially in Caçador, where it averaged annually 15,15 t.ha-1 of fruit, equivalent to 1,999 L of oil per hectare.
