Abstract

Valuing a fruit goes beyond increasing the economic value of the marketing price, it is bringing prominence, relevance, importance, it is highlighting tradition, habits and preferences acquired in childhood, sensory expectations and health benefits that the fruit can bring. Thus, several current events at a global level highlight the demand for technological and logistical advances, public policies for the sector, consumption habits, the search for a healthier diet and for certain fruits and, consequently, their value. These events go through institutional policies as well as chain actions of individuals connected by information sharing networks.
