Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is cultivated in almost all Brazilian states, while the country is the 3rd largest producer and second largest consumer in the world. The objective of this work was to evaluate the adaptability and yield stability of bean cultivars and lineages from the breeding programs of EPAGRI, IAPAR, UEM, IAC, FT Sementes and Embrapa, to identify the most adapted, stable and productive genotypes for recommendation in Santa Catarina. The tests were conducted during periods of “first” and “second” season of 2013 and 2014 in 16 different environments in the state of Santa Catarina. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replicates and plots of four lines of four meters long. The grain yield analysis was carried out using the Annicchiarico method. Favorable environments for bean cultivation occurred in Papanduva and Ponte Serrada in the first season of 2012/13 and Papanduva, Chapecó and Ponte Serrada in the first season of 2013/14. During the second season the favorable environments for cultivation occurred in Chapecó in both years 2013 and 2014. Genotypes with superior performance compared to the best control (BRS Pérola) in the general analysis of environments were CHC98-42, LP09-40, SCS204 Predileto, CNFP10794, FT08-75 and CNFC10762, respectively. For unfavorable environments, the superior genotypes to the best control (BRS Pérola) were CHC98-42, LP09-40, SCS204 Predileto, CNFP10794 and FT08-75, respectively. In the favorable environments, the superior genotypes compared to the best control (SCS202 Guará) were LP09-40, CNFC10762, JS-1, CHC98-42, SCS204 Predileto and CNFP10794, respectively. These results demonstrate that the most productive, stable and better adapted genotypes for cultivation in Santa Catarina are CHC98-42, LP09-40, SCS204 Predileto, CNFP10794, CNFC10762 and FT08-75.
