Abstract

Abstract - Knowledge of the nutritional quality of food is essential for adequate feeding of the herd. The contents of the main nutrients found in foods can be checked in tables or, more reliably, through laboratory analysis, called bromatological analysis. The sample sent to the laboratory should be representative of the food (batch, picket, silo, bags, etc.). For the results of the analysis to represent well the material that will be supplied to the animals, the samples should be collected following some criteria, discussed in this informative. Incorrect sampling leads to erroneous results and consequently improper diet balance.
