Soil fauna components in soybean crops
Keywords:
Glycine max, pitfall traps, constancy, frequencyAbstract
The soil fauna in soybean (Glycine max Merrill) crops was studied in Chapecó, Santa Catarina State, Brazil, in 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons. Samples were collected weekly, using pitfall traps with water and detergent. The samples were collected 48 hours after installation of the traps and were transported to the laboratory for sorting. The specimens captured totaled 30,682 individuals classified at 7 classes and 18 orders. The species of
constancy “accidental” predominated. Springtails and predatory ants had higher capturing frequency. Correlation coefficients expressed between edaphic arthropod groups suggest the existence of throphic interactions.
