      Abstract

      The objective of this paper is to describe current information and recommendations that allows the user to establish simplified but effective strategies for irrigation of garlic. It presents the main irrigation systems which can be used in garlic production . Also it shows aspects of irrigation and plant disease relationship, , water requirements, as well as indicators and strategies for deciding when and how much water to apply to the crop, including secondary growth susceptible cultivars.
