        Abstract

Yield and resistance to black rot of the cabbages cultivars Coração de boi, Emblem, Fuyutoyo and
Nozomi under summer cultivation were evaluated in the south coast of Santa Catarina State. The variables quantified were: head medium weight (kg), yield (t/ha), area under disease progress curve (AUCPD), initial and final severities of black rot. The treatments were compared using Duncan´s test at 5% probability level. Fuyutoyo and Emblem hybrids were significantly superior considering yield and resistance to black rot compared to Coração
        de Boi and Nozomi.
