RAC Rises to B2 in Qualis Journals Check out the journal's news!
The Agropecuária Catarinense journal has continued to evolve since the editorial changes in 2020, with good news for the scientific community. Over the past few years, RAC has gained new indexers, demonstrating its evolution and greater visibility. More recently, the journal rose to B2 in the Qualis Journals ranking, expanding its relevance in the field of Agricultural Sciences.
Currently, RAC has 15 indexers/repositories as seals of quality for the journal. The inclusion of the journal by the new indexers is more than a sign of prestige. It is an indicator that RAC is adopting more reliable and transparent methods, recommended by open science. This also requires greater engagement and collaboration from the authors.
In 2026, the journal faces a new challenge: qualifying for indexing with SciELO. For this reason, the journal's editorial guidelines/policies have been readjusted, highlighting the following points:
- RAC will now publish its articles on a continuous flow basis – as soon as an article is accepted for publication, it will be published individually, without the need to close an issue;
- The journal will now accept submissions in three languages: Portuguese/English/Spanish;
- Articles will be published in two languages with translation: Portuguese/English or Portuguese/Spanish;
- It will accept submissions of articles published as preprints;
- It will now publish reviewers' opinions anonymously;
- It will offer an open review process – total or partial – depending on the interest of the author and reviewers;
- It will increase its scientific dissemination through profiles on academic and social networks: ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Instagram, and Facebook;
- Adoption of a new visual identity and journal logo.
