Gypsum acts as physical-chemical soil conditioner. Gypsum is a source of calcium and sulfur, alleviates
soil acidity agents in the soil horizons, and improves rooting on the soil layers with mechanical impedance.
The Agropecuária Catarinense journal has continued to evolve since the editorial changes in 2020, with good news for the scientific community. Over the past few years, RAC has gained new indexers, demonstrating its evolution and greater visibility. More recently, the journal rose to B2 in the Qualis Journals ranking, expanding its relevance in the field of Agricultural Sciences.
In 2025, agricultural research will celebrate its 50th anniversary in Santa Catarina. To understand the importance of this work, we must look back at history. Since 1975, research has been benefiting Santa Catarina's rural producers. The creation of the Santa Catarina Agricultural Research Company (Empasc) was a milestone in the history of research in Santa Catarina.
