The agricultural engineer and agricultural policy

Abstract

The current situation has shown, however, that the course corrections of the Real Plan conflict with the need for agricultural financing at low interest rates. Our producers need a compensatory policy that serves to neutralize, or at least minimize, the effects of the protectionist policy widespread in the northern hemisphere and to enable an environment of food security that does not yet exist in the country. Agricultural engineers, as professionals in the life sciences, working in the production, industrialization, distribution and quality control of food, in the production of renewable energy and fibers for clothing and in the enhancement of leisure and the environment, are in solidarity with society and willing to walk together in the construction of a new country, where citizenship and quality of life allow us to be proud of this Brazil.
