Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the vegetative propagation of Poireta latfolia Vogel through in vitro micropropagation and herbaceous cuting rooting. Nodal segments were cultivated in seven concentrations of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) into culture media. Stake rootng was also evaluated in different concentrations of indole-3-butyric acid (IBA). Data demonstrated that the number and length of shoots, the number of inter-nodes, and the number of leaves were not affected by the BAP. The percentage of rootng cutngs also did not differ between the concentratons of AIB. Overall, results indicated the need to evaluate higher concentrations of plant growth regulators and other rooting inducers.
