SCS255 Luna: new cassava cultivar for the State of Santa Catarina

Abstract: SCS255 Luna is a new cassava cultivar obtained by the Epagri Breeding Program / Urussanga Research Station. This cultivar has high yield, 30% starch content in the roots and is resistant to bacterial blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis p.v.manihotis). The main agricultural and morphological characteristics are roots with a brown film, white pulp, erect stems with casual bifurcation, easy to harvest and detachable roots.
