Abstract

The tan bug Thaumastocoris peregrinus Carpintero & Dellapé (Hemiptera: Thaumastocoridae) attacks eucalyptus trees in several Brazilian states causing leaf bronzing, branch drying and plant death. This insect is
gregarious, has brown-pinkish coloration and is about 3mm long. There are few alternatives to controlling this bug because of the reforestation characteristics, being the classic biological control an alternative to be searched in the integrated management of this pest.
