Abstract
The lentil is one of the oldest legumes used in human feeding. Due to the low nodulation of lentils
that derive from the use of commercial inoculant, works has been done in the isolation and selection of bacterial strains of rhizobium for this species. The purpose of the work was to reevaluate officially recommended strains and test new bacterial strains isolated from nodules collected the field. Two experiments were conducted and 39
strains of isolated rhizobium were tested in the Estação Experimental de Lages, Epagri, SC. The results allowed to conclude that the strains EEL 9002, 9102, 9602, 9702, 9902, 10402, 10502, and 18499 are efficient and can be used in evaluation tests of soil in the greenhouse and in the field.
