    Abstract

Botryosphaeria dothidea, which anamorph corresponds to Fusicoccum aesculi is a very important fungus on apple orchards in Brazil because it is able to cause damages on fruit, trunk, branches and leaves.
Cankers and white rot are very important Summer diseases on apple. The most frequent damages are observed on branches of several apple cultivars. This is the first report of the teleomorph of Fusicoccum aesculi on apple, discovered at Epagri/Experiment Station of Caçador in 2004 using a spore trap, known as Colespor. This paper describes the teleomorphic stage of the fungus discovered on cankers of cultivar Fuji.
