Oyster farming in floating bags
A new technique for shellfish farmers in Santa Catarina

This technical information describes the oyster farming with floating bags, a technique widely used in North America, but not yet disseminated in Brazil. The description contains illustrations and details of the management of oysters on a farm in Santa Catarina, an assessment of the use of this system in the summer and winter months, followed by a brief analysis and recommendations.
