Impacto geral da introdução do sistema automatizado de ordenha em propriedades leiteiras

Os sistemas automatizados de ordenha (AMS) e o monitoramento de comportamento estão ganhando
popularidade na cadeia produtiva de leite. A crescente falta de mão de obra, a busca pela melhoria de qualidade, a gestão e a profissionalização das propriedades leiteiras fazem com que constantemente ocorra a modernização dos sistemas de produção, do sistema tradicional de ordenha ao pé, para salas de ordenhas e para a introdução de AMS. O aumento na frequência de ordenha proporciona vantagens à saúde do úbere, pois quando a remoção de contaminantes é feita de modo mais frequente, ela proporciona conforto e melhora o acompanhamento dos casos de mastites. Os AMS e o sistema de gestão do rebanho devem ser devidamente parametrizados e a distribuição da frequência de ordenha deve ser feita conforme a
curva de lactação. Os animais no início da lactação devem ser ordenhados com maior frequência do que os que estão em fases intermediárias e em final da lactação. Diversos fatores associados podem interferir na frequência de ordenha, como as
instalações, o comportamento do animal e o manejo. Estratégias de alimentação devem ser aplicadas em propriedades que utilizam o AMS com objetivo de atender as necessidades nutricionais das vacas e atuar como motivação para que os animais
visitem voluntariamente a ordenha.
