Abstract

The Plant Health Laboratory of the Research Center for Family Farming (Cepaf) of Epagri provides a service for the diagnosis of phytosanitary problems for farmers and technicians. Along the years 2018 and 2019, 166 samples for disease diagnosis were submitted to the laboratory. Among these samples, approximately 31% were soybean, 21% corn, 13% grapevine, 7% common bean, 5% tomato and 5% citrus. The most common causal agents were fungi, followed by bacteria, detected in 79% and 16% of the samples, respectively. The diagnoses guide farmers in making decisions when implementing appropriate management measures, pursuing environmental, economic and social sustainability.
