          Abstract

          The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of the homeopathic preparation Natrum muriaticum on thrips incidence, Thrips tabaci Lind. (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), yield, bulb mass, and the storage of onion in the organic system. The experiment was carried out in the Epagri Experiment Station, in Ituporanga, Santa Catarina State, Brazil.
          The experimental design was randomized complete blocks with four replications. The cultivar used was Epagri 362 Crioula Alto Vale. The treatments were sprays at 0.1L/100L of water of homeopathic preparation of Natrum muriaticum 6, 12 and 30CH (hahnemannian centesimal scale), and untreated check. The incidence of the insect was inferior to the untreated check only to Natrum muriaticum 12CH at 68 DAT. The onion bulb mass was incremented with Natrum muriaticum
          12CH. The post-harvest conservation was reduced with the increment of potencies.
