Abstract
This note presents the main results of a diagnosis involving all trout production enterprises in Santa Catarina. The research, carried out between October 2021 and January 2022, collected data and perceptions about different aspects of the activity based on interviews with trout farmers. When compared with references on trout farming in the world, the diagnosis points out climatic limitations, technological gaps and other types of limitations in the trout production process in Santa Catarina.
