Abstract

Abstract – In order to evaluate H. undatus fruits quality, flowers were pollinated with pollen coming from H. undatus, Hylocereus polyrhizus and Hylocereus costaricensis. We assessed the fixation (%), weight (g), length (cm) and diameter of the fruits (cm), peel thickness (cm), peel weight / total fruit weight (%), oBrix, no of seeds and weight of 100 seed (g). The design was completely
randomized, with 10 replicates. The means were compared by the Scott-Knott test (p <0.05) and the correlations by T-test (p <0.01). There was 100% of fixation with positive correlation between weight, length and diameter with the no and weight of 100 seeds, for all pollen sources. Pollen from H. polyrhizus and H. costaricensis provided fruits of greater length and weight of 100 seeds, and H. costaricensis provided fruits with greater weight and diameter.
